Introduced in 2005, the Ferrari Superamerica was the limited-edition convertible variant of the 575M Maranello. Featuring an electrochromic glass panel roof which rotated 180° at the rear to lie flat over the boot. With the roof open the rear window (apart from holding the third stoplight) also acts as a wind deflector, providing your ears with unfiltered access to the stunning large capacity naturally aspirated ‘F133 G’ V12 engine. Rated at 540 PS (533 hp), at the time of launch Ferrari marketed it as the world's fastest convertible car, with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
Total production amounted to 559 units; this number followed Enzo Ferrari's philosophy that there should always be one fewer car available than what the market demanded. As a result, this example is one for the collectors out there as has covered minimal mileage, presenting as a top tier example both from a cosmetic and mechanical standpoint.
Delivered new to Graypaul Nottingham in February 2005, this example is 1 of only 63 RHD examples and 1 of only a handful of cars produced with the additional option of a factory GTC handling pack. It’s beautiful specification therefore includes 19” Split Rim 5 Spoke Light Weight Wheels, factory ‘snaps’ style sports exhaust and Carbon Brakes all round. Additional specification includes a red rev counter and the F1 gearbox.
This example has resided in the UK ever since delivery with only 2 former keepers. More recently, it has been stored as part of a significant Ferrari collection in the same ownership since 2012.
It is accompanied by a wealth of invoices documenting an excellent service history to date, with all work carried out by Ferrari Main Dealers and Specialists including Maranello, H.R Owen and Bob Houghton. Its 2022 service was completed in May at Maranello Egham.
Accompanied by original owners’ wallet, stamped service book, history file and toolkit.
