In our opinion this Ferrari 550 Maranello is one of the finest examples we have had through our workshop in recent years. A potent grand tourer with which Ferrari went back to the V12 power unit configuration with a 5,473.9 cc 485hp front engine. A great classic that quickly became yet another sales success.

Tastefully specified finished in Verde Silverstone with Green leather and red carpets, this rare and desirable colour combination really enhances the beautiful Pininfarina designed bodywork.

On the 6th August 1996, the order was placed through Stratstone, Wilmslow by a Mr B Roebuck and finally delivered new on the 9th August 1997. The Ferrari EEC Certificate of Conformity No 421 and original supplying invoice for £145,329.58 are included in a detailed history folder.

There is documentation dated 7th October 1997 showing when the first 600-1,000 mile inspection was carried out by Stratstone Ferrari.

The current 2nd owner, a member of the Ferrari Owners Club purchased the car on the 10th April 2002 at 7,000 miles from Bentley Manchester. A Copy of the order form, hand over sheet and the Sunday Times newspaper advert which attracted him to purchase the car are in the file.

The original service book displays the cars chassis number and supplying dealer Stratstone stamp with warranty card. The tool kit is also present with the Ferrari book pack containing the service booklet stamped with the most recent full service and cam belt replacement at 19,033 miles

The history records contains a wealth of supporting documents for services, cam belt renewals and previous MOT’s corroborating the 19,040 miles displayed on the odometer today.

Cherished by the owner this outstanding Ferrari is fit for a fine collection, the paintwork retains a deep gloss and the interior shows very little sign of wear, a well-cared for car always stored correctly in recent years.

Maintained by Foskers since 2003 this car will come supplied with a new service and MOT for the new owner to enjoy.

The 550 Maranello offers a very useable ‘modern classic’ Ferrari GT that is both powerful, elegant and comfortable, this example is not to be missed.
