At the Nurburgring launch, Grand Prix legend Niki Lauda was on hand to drive members of the press corps on fast laps around the circuit, which he unsentimentally called ’the grill room’’. Sold new through Westover Sports Cars Ltd, Blandford in August 1997 this RHD 550M is in outstanding original condition. Accompanied by its full suite of manuals kept in the original leather wallet and spare keys. The original service book displays a meticulous service history with cam-belt renewals to date. First introduced to Foskers in 2008, it is mechanically perfect with no expense spared in service and regular upkeep. The history file contains a wealth of supporting documents for maintenance carried out and previous MOT’s corroborating the 39,296 miles on the odometer today.
The paintwork is vibrant with a strong depth of colour and the interior shows very little sign of wear. It features factory climate controlled cabin, electric seats with embossed headrests and period correct CD player.
